Training Services

Shield's senior consultants provide specialized training in a wide variety of technical areas. We are frequently retained by private clients, national trade organizations, and even the federal government to provide training and continued education for contractors, engineers, and managers.

The Shield Engineering Training Center is designed to provide a unique suite of training services through customized programs that utilize various interactive learning solutions. One area of training is Water Sector Security.

 

Water Sector Security Evaluation and Risk Mitigation

In our Water Sector Security program, professionals will learn how to develop a comprehensive risk evaluation and an emergency response plan.

Shield Engineering’s Infrastructure Security Team, consisting of professional engineers and scientists, is uniquely capable of providing water and wastewater assessment associated with the EPA’s mandated security requirements. Providing security assessment, planning, and design services, Shield can help you protect critical infrastructure from threats that could disrupt drinking waterv distribution, sewage collection, as well as water and wastewater treatment facilities.

  • Instructor for Sandia National Labs Risk Assessment Methodology for Water Utilities RAM-W
  • Trainer for Water Environment Federation’s (WEF) Wastewater Infrastructure Securities Workshops
  • Developer and Lead Instructor for WEF’s Train-the-Trainer Workshops on the Vulnerability Self-Assessment Tool (VSAT) software
