Shield Engineering’s Sediment / Erosion Control services assists public and private sectors in developing cost-effective plans for protection of surface water resources. By providing innovative solutions, Shield’s approach integrates erosion control, flood control and floodplain management services to address surface water quality issues. This comprehensive approach protects developed areas, preserves waterways, and expands public access to recreational resources.
Shield staff members have extensive hydrologic and hydraulic design experience and a proven track record of successfully obtaining local, state, and federal erosion and sediment control (E&SC) permits and/or regulatory approvals.
We have a working knowledge of the various state and federal E&SC and National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) regulations and requirements. Our primary objective in developing E&SC plans is to integrate E&SC with post-development stormwater management to the extent possible to reduce overall site development construction costs.
