Mold Evaluation

Mold:  It's everywhere - a part of our natural environment.  Outdoors, molds play a part in nature by breaking down dead organic matter; but indoors, mold should be avoided.  Only recently has mold been recognized as an environmental contaminant.  While many people have little or no ill effects from mold exposure, many experience mild to severe adverse reactions to mold exposure.

It’s impossible to get rid of all molds and mold spores indoors.  However, mold spores will not grow if moisture is not present.

Indoor mold growth can and should be prevented or controlled by controlling moisture indoors.  If there is mold growth in the your home, you must clean up the mold and fix the water problem:

Shield’s approach does just that:

  •  We find the source.
  •  We contain the source.
  •  We eliminate the problem.

Shield's understanding of mold growth, the causes and corrective actions enables us to assist building owners and occupants to both correct the existing problem and implement corrective measures to insure it doesn’t become a recurring issue.

Shield works with both commercial property and residential property owners to assess mold conditions and recommend common-sense and cost-effective remedies.
