The laboratory is staffed with experienced engineering technicians and scientists supervised by licensed professional engineers. Testing is performed in conjunction with applicable standards that include ASTM, AASHTO, USDA, local, state, and other published standards. The laboratory participates in the AASHTO Materials Reference Laboratory (AMRL) soil proficiency sample program as a part of our internal laboratory quality assurance to ensure the accuracy and consistency of the test results. The goal of Shield’s laboratory is to provide precise and accurate results customized to the client’s specific standards and budget in a timely manner.
