Shield reserves a group of professionals in the geotechnical department who are specifically dedicated to CQA and CQC construction inspection services. This group is comprised of professional engineers and technicians who have over 100 years of combined experience in the areas of landfill design and construction quality assurance on construction and demolition (C&D), solid waste, federal, industrial, Superfund and radioactive facilities. Shield’s staff includes inspectors with over 10 years of construction inspection experience totaling over 15 million square feet of geomembrane liner inspection and 700,000 cubic yards of soil liner inspection. In addition to Shield’s experienced staff, Shield operates a 2,500-foot, state of the art AMRL-accredited physical soils laboratory which specializes in low permeability soil testing.
