Shield provided an on-site mobile soils laboratory, consultants and engineering technicians to perform CQA inspections and testing of the construction materials of the cap components. Shield prepared safety, quality and technical work plans and submited weekly CQA summary reports. Shield inspected low permeable clays, fill soils, gas vent material, liquid waste line abandonments, geomembranes, two types of GCL, two types of geogrid and other geosynthetics. Shield's services also included extensive laboratory testing and evaluation and submittal of several comprehensive CQA certification completion reports for regulatory review.
