Shield provided the initial geotechnical investigation and recommendations for the remodeling, building addition, and new watertank for Winterfield Elementary School. The project included constructing a new building pad and parking area with more than 45,000 cubic yards of imported material and fill depths up to 11 feet. Additionally, Shield performed construction materials testing services for Winterfield Elementary, including: fill density testing, undercut observation and quantification, foundation bearing verification, concrete and asphalt testing and special inspections for structural masonry and structural steel.
