Commercial Site Development

Shield provided comprehensive civil site design services while working side-by-side with an Architect for a regional commercial restaurant chain. Services included sub-contracted surveying services, site plan layout on a 0.97 acre lot, grading and parking lot design, erosion and sedimentation control, stormwater sewer design, public water and sanitary sewer connections, and landscaping details. In addition, Shield prepared and coordinated required permits through the N.C. DOT for driveway access, stormwater sewer upgrade, and public utility connections. Shield’s practical knowledge and experience with local building standards and land development requirements coupled with a proactive, team-oriented approach with the Architect ensured completion of the design documents satisfying not only the Client, but also the local permitting jurisdiction.
