Phase II Environmental Site Assessment
Phase I ESAs often identify additional areas of concern, requiring a closer evaluation. Phase II Assessments often include the collection of samples of various media and using the results of laboratory analyses to provide the client with an evaluation of regulatory compliance or environmental risk.
The decision to move from the ESA to Phase II is not as easy as it may appear. Regulatory reporting requirements and third party liability issues should be thoroughly evaluated by an experienced consultant prior to collection of data.
